Oprah's father helps neighborhood rebound

The famous host oprah Winfrey's father states his refurbished barber shop is spurring a revitalization from the Tennessee neighborhood when they have been cutting hair for 40 years.

Vernon Winfrey and the wife, Barbara, marked the conclusion from the first phase of Winberry Place, a modest commercial rise in the Cleveland Park neighborhood that has his shop because the anchor tenant.

"I believe this helps brighten the area and can encourage many others to behave,Inch Winfrey, 78, told The (Nashville) Tennessean. "I wish to leave East Nashville in better shape than I discovered it."

The Winberry Place project requires a mixture of retail and residential construction in the future. But Cleveland Park has already been around the rebound. The Tennessean stated Sunday crime in the region continues to be decreasing along with other qualities are now being built or repaired.

"There have been areas which were established with crime that now it's periodic," Metro Police Sgt. Serta Ogren told the newspaper. "They have arrived at the tipping point, which area won't go south because you will find so many people which are committed to the area.Inch

  • Oprah used to have cred way back , she was about changing systems, now it's celebs and other bullshit, changing yourself to cope within the systems, a total reversal.

  • Wow, if I had known failure is a life's way of saying to change course before.. that would've saved me a lot of thinking :) But eventually I've changed course and I think I'm going to be happy!

  • @Vivamamaafrika This isn't a competition. I'm going to watch Jobs' one in a minute, but Oprah's really spoke to me. I found it very enlightening and wise. You can tell she's been there and seen it.
