Elton John's Husband Backtracks On Madonna Claims

madonna
David Furnish states his comments about Madge's Golden Globes win were 'blown way to avoid it of proportion.' Take into account that Elton John/Madonna score even, for the time being. After John's husband, David Furnish, made some off-the-cuff comments about Madge's Golden Globes win last week, he's giving an argument about this, offering up a mea culpa of sorts.

"Wow! Exactly what a tempest inside a teapot. My comments concerning the Golden Globes happen to be blown way to avoid it of proportion," he stated on his Facebook page. The problem began once the Full of Pop nabbed the trophy for the best Original Song on her "W.E." track, "Masterpiece," and Furnish had some choice words on her at that time. She'd been facing John and the "Gnomeo & Juliet" track, "Hello Hello."

"Madonna. Best Song???? F--- off!!!" he authored on Facebook at that time. "Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these honours do not have anything related to merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in the narcissism. And her critique of Gaga shows how desperate she is really.Inch (Gaga is godmother to Furnish and John's boy.)

Well, with nearly per week behind him, it appears that Furnish has transformed his tune. "My adoration for our film 'Gnomeo & Juliet' and belief in Elton's song really experienced my emotional juices going," he stated. "But I have to admit for that record that I do think Madonna is a superb artist, which Elton and If only her best wishes for next week's premiere from the film 'W.E.' "

With this feud behind her, Madonna now appears poised to redirect the interest to her many forthcoming projects, such as the Feb discharge of "W.E," which she authored and directed, her Super Bowl performance, her music video on her M.I.A./Nicki Minaj-aided "Gimme All Of Your Luvin," along with the spring discharge of her album M.D.N.A.

Were David Furnish's comments about Madonna justified? Seem off below! This report is supplied by MTV News

 • @Zebadeedah No doubt great video but it is a bit racy!

 • Unless you were alive at this time, it's hard to really understand the impact Madonna had, there is nobody around today who compares. Yes,Gaga is huge and Beyonce has hit after hit, but the entire world (including the Pope) had an opinion on EVERYTHING Madonna did! So weather you're a teenager or an old fogie like me (I'm 32, practically ancient) you have to credit Madonna for the effect she's had on the world and for infulencing everything (and everyone) that came after.

 • Excuse the typos... I need some coffee, tea, sugar--something, lol. :D

 • @TheHoodedRant Its ALL about the gospel Choir :D:D:D:D:D

 • @Shizalumni I absolutely agree with you, couldn't have said it better.

 • @jdsymvf One good point is that Madonna was accused of blasphemy for the stigmata; a statement from the Pope (yes, the POPE!) was released by the Vatican that banned Madonna from appearing in Italy. As a consequence Pepsi stopped broadcasting the commercial with the song and Madonna in it but Madonna kept the money, 5Millions dollars. There's plenty of info if u just google it. This video is the most controversial EVER in pop music. Madonna managed to piss of the Pope lol
