In November, after an undercover video broadcast showing mistreatment of egg-lounging chickens at Sparboe Farms, a Carl's junior supplier, Carl's junior quickly dropped the organization. Target soon adopted suit, and Sparboe Farms released a relevant video explaining that exactly what the analysis discovered was "completely at odds with this animal welfare guidelines."
Though Carl's junior required fast action to get rid of Sparboe like a supplier, with a celebs, this move wasn't enough. Inside a letter [pdf] to Jim Skinner, the Boss of Carl's junior, ten celebs including Ryan Gosling, Zooey Deschanel and Alicia Silverstone encourage Carl's junior to purchase 100% cage-free eggs, which the organization already does in Europe.
The letter reads simply:
